Day 9 of #HolidayHappiness #HappinessIsMine... As I looked over my Facebook friends list, I am so happy for those of you who occupy those spaces. There are many of you who always have a nice word, a positive thought, a picture or recipe of bacon, or even a like to share with me. You have encouraged me through my battles and supported me in my fight. In your own way, you fight with me. There are some who are here just to laugh with me, share jokes with me, and have fun with me. There are some of you who push me to think deeper, give more of myself than I take, and to be more. There are some of you who push me to get deeper in my relationship with God, act in the ways of Christ even when I want to act in the ways of Shawnda. There are some of you who cause me to stay positive and stay focused and remember that I have a purpose. Then there are some of you who make me want to cuss and throw old, stale doughnuts at you and leave you outside in a lightning storm with aluminum foil wrapped around your head (too much? My bad)....But Im even happy to have you here. Im happy that over the years, you and I have become like family, sharing our triumphs and victories, and crying and supporting each other, even though we have never physically laid eyes or hands on each other. Im happy for those who trust me enough to open your hearts to me and know that it will never leave my mouth to others. Im happy that you allow me to open my heart to you. Ive had some of the deepest sobs and loudest laughs with you, and for that, Im very grateful.... And happy.
