Day 9 post transplant in St George hospital: Feeling same today. Cant swallow due to the ulceration in my throat. So far my mouth is ok so at least I dont have to deal with both. I have severe diarrhea from the chemo and nausea where nearly everything comes up so it is not pleasant from both ends. The dietician came today to discuss a liquid/puree diet, now that sounded so advertising........not. You see even with the issues I am Hungary and crave real food. Some things never change! All my blood levels have dropped as expected so today Im having a bag of platelets and 2 bags of blood. Other than that Im good...hahaha Im in one of the best single rooms in the hospital with views over Botany Bay right round to the airport. Thank you for all you kind messages and words of support. I know tomorrow is a new day and I know I will get better :-)
