Day 95: So today I dont want to post a picture as such, but what made my day, was when I got to know that one of the boys, at the home where I volunteered for a year, passed in all his subjects-PUC! :D :D Amongst the other brilliant volunteers who helped with his other subjects, I was given the role of teaching him English, and Im extremely happy and excited for him! There used to be days when Id be taking English class, with him and 3 other boys, when hed be so silent. Id ask him, What happened Hemadri? Is something wrong? And hed hold his hand on his forehead and say,AKKA! TOMORROW EXAM AKKA, I want to revise Economics, please can you excuse me for today? My heart melted when I heard that, taking me back to when I used to write my exams, and the whole tension-scene before my exams! Kudos to all the volunteers who helped him study, taking time off their college work just to make a difference, and to all who have been praying for him, and many other children like him! :) Never underestimate someone who may have been deprived of proper education. Theyll turn out to be stars in their own hometowns, and wherever they come from, and that is more than enough for them to be happy, and take them forward!
