Day Nineteen of the Eileen McCreary Nuss Music - TopicsExpress

Day Nineteen of the Eileen McCreary Nuss Music Memorial. Let’s keep it going with Southern Rock and Roll. Today’s artist is ZZ Top. Three Guy,s two long beards and Rock and Roll. AND yes, they had a period of Top 40, synthesizer driven POP, but that is not what we are here for today. Yes she has legs and she knows how to use them. With a McCreary Woman that is double entendre, French for double meaning. Could be they went shopping for shoes, yet more likely she gives you a kick in the butt. Let’s go with the number three. A good number, a holy number and also Pericles like to talk about the three legs of the stool and it is the number of band members. Generally I like a band’s first album and although this is the third album-- it is like the first since the lineup changed to Drums, Guitar and Bass, the latter replaced the Organ. The third album aptly named, “Tres Hombres”, Spanish for three men, like the members in the band. No big story. Just Eileen and I hangin’ out at 703 Atwood Road, Philadephia PA, 19151. Now back then there was a radio station that would play complete albums with no commercials. And on came ZZ Top. This is a rockin album. Ironically and within our theme today the third song: Beer Drinkers And Hell Raisers reminds me of Eileen. Even more ironic the line: “Huh, baby, dont you wanna come with me?” In the song spoken by a guy, but it easily could be my sister, Eileen. Watch out men, Eileen was the Siren, a dangerous, yet beautiful creature, and this Blonde had the power to make you crash into the rocks-if she didn’t push you first into them. Wow, who could think I could make two Greek references and a French expression, in a post about a little band from Texas? Eileen you crash my boat.
