Day One Hundred and seventeen of cancer treatment:- I had a good nights sleep last night, as it wasnt so hot, and also my throat didnt need tending with water umpteen times during the night. If fact although it was sore to start off with, it did ease up after my baby food Weetabix breakfast. This morning we had a generally lazy one, and went to visit the other cancer patient in the family, Little ones granddad. After his first session of chemotherapy last week he is feeling very tired, and has even complained of the chemo smell that I have experienced. Personally, I know that those that that read this, who have witnessed cancer in their family, or among friends or even themselves have found it frightening, and in more than one time throughout this, so have I. But since finding out my dad also has cancer, for me it hasnt been so scary. As a personal witness to what is going on, and what he is feeling and what he is going through, as I am witnessing it myself, I can understand. And it is having the first hand understanding that will help not only me, but himself, and all our family. I always knew, that if writing this diary could help someone, it will have been worth while, didnt expect it to help someone close to home, and so soon. My own treatment today, was very tiresome, and a chore, even though it was on time and the journey was easy. My throat, and aches and pains are making this week and up hill struggle, even though I am on the downhill stretch.........
