Day Shift On May 6, PO Farmer took a report of Assault when a 70 year old resident of a local nursing home, stated that one of the staff members struck him sometime in the 5 days prior to the report. The man did not know on what day it happened, and did not know which staff member it was that was involved. The case remains open, but due to the fact that there was no physical evidence and the fact the victim could not provide anymore information, the case is not under investigation at this time. On May 7, Chief Schlie, Lt. Proctor, PO Farmer and PO Campbell responded to the parking lot of Shell Gas Station for a report of a man, unconscious in his vehicle. Investigation revealed that the man had had a medical reaction to new medicines he was on, that caused the episode. Officers were able to locate relatives to take care of his 6 year old daughter and infant daughter that were in the car with him at the time. Dayshift Monthly Activity Report May 2013 On May 12, PO Campbell took a report of Telecommunication Harassment from a woman that stated her roommates’ ex-girlfriend, has been calling her and sending her threatening text messages. This is an ongoing problem and the offending party has previously been advised to stop contacting the woman. As a result of the ongoing calls and texts, a warrant was issued for the woman. On May 12, PO Campbell responded to assist the Deer Park Silverton Life Squad for a report of a man with a laceration to his hand. Upon the Officers’ and Life Squad members arrival, the man in question, a known heroin user, became increasingly belligerent and hostile, yelling profanities at those involved while standing in his front yard. With several citizens in the area, including children, the man was told repeatedly to stop his behavior. When he did not, he was advised that he was under arrest. The man fought with officers and squad members before being taken into custody. Due to the man’s unusual behavior, he was transported to the hospital for evaluation before going to the Justice Center. Officer Campbell did sustain minor injuries during the altercation. On May 13, Lt. Proctor took a report of Theft from the director of one of the local nursing homes, regarding one of the staff members using a resident’s credit card to obtain person items for herself. The nurse in question had admitted her involvement to the director and the incident is being handled in-house within the nursing home at this time. On May 15, PO Campbell arrested a 14 year old girl after she failed to report to school. The girl had been warned by Lt. Proctor for skipping school two days earlier, after he responded to her residence and transported her to school. She was charged with being Incorrigible. On May 21, Lt. Proctor responded back the to residence of the 14 year old girl mentioned above, after the High School called and advised she had not been in school since being brought to school by Lt. Proctor on the 13th. She was again placed under arrest and transported to 2020 for Truancy-Incorrigible. On May 22, PO Farmer arrested the same 14 year old girl after the High School called to report that she was once again skipping school. She was transported to 2020 and her court date on all cases is pending. On May 23, Lt. Proctor took a report for Criminal Damaging when a man reported that his mother-in-laws car had been damaged while it was parked on the street overnight. On May 25, PO Farmer took a report for Criminal Damaging when a woman reported that the mirrors on her car had been broken and the car dented and scratched while it was parked on the street while she was inside the H bar for approximately 45 minutes. On May 29, Lt. Proctor took a report of Theft when a man advised that he had taken a ladder off of his car and set it in his front yard. The man went inside his residence for approximately 10 minutes and when he returned, that ladder was missing.
