Day Sixty-Three Update on Simon and Mochi. Mochi is still progressing well and has to be with Mommy all of the time now. If Mommy gets up to go into another room Mochi is right on her heels. I still cant believe the difference in her energy level since the surgery. She rarely moved off of her bed before the tracheotomy and now I have trouble restricting her activity (as ordered per her surgeon for the next 2 weeks). Still continuing with the neb treatments, suctioning and trach care and that will probably be a constant in both our lives now. Such a sweet and special girl. Simon, Chandler, Joey and Baby Emily are doing well and luckily, no more alpha domination squabbles this week. Ill have to reward them with new toys this weekend. Just what we need. Ill have purchase another toy box or donate some of their older toys to make room. Wanted to let you know that Mochi receives triple antibiotic ointment to her trach site several time per day so some of it gets on her fur. She may look a little oily in the pics, especially on the fringe on her front legs. Once she is healed and some of the fur has grown back on her chest, the trach wont even be that noticeable. I will, of course, have to keep the hair directly near the trach shaved but she wont need her entire chest bare. Thank you again for the prayers and kind words for both Mochi and baby Emily.
