Day Twenty-Four of the Eileen McCreary Nuss Music Memorial. My sisters, Eileen and Theresa Make Lemonade Especially for Me By Jerry McCreary One night Eileen and Theresa were taking care of me and had to make sure I had dinner. Many think that being the youngest makes you spoiled, yet I have to set the record straight that you have to be on your toes when you are number seven of seven. Eileen excitedly invited me to the dinner table, announcing they made Lemonade especially for me. They were excited. I was suspicious. 1-We always had iced tea at dinner 2-My parents were not at home. There I am at the table with one big sister on the left and one on the right. If you want to visualize it; it was like Mikey in the old Life Cereal commercial. In the iconic commercial the siblings say Im not gonna try it—you try it!. They get their younger brother Mikey to try it saying: Lets get Mikey, I was their Mikey. Unknown to me they have filled my glass full of Real Lemon Concentrate with a couple ice cubes to top it off. One small sip and I made a lot of faces and Eileen says: “Jerry, how is it?” Lips puckered and eyes closed I respond: “Very good Lemonade”. If you have five sisters, you can’t let them know they got you, even if they got you. Todays artist is Jack White as I think she would of liked his music. Today’s Song: Just One Drink by Jack White from his second album Lazaretto. It was released on June 10, 2014. Lazaretto debuted at number one on the Billboard 200selling 138,000 copies in its first week. There must be a resurgence in turntables since the vinyl LP sold 40,000 copies. This sets the record for the most vinyl sales in one week for an album since SoundScan began tracking sales in 1991 Prior to this the record was 34,000, set by Pearl Jams Vitalogy in 1994. https://youtube/watch?v=PyONup-89kg
