Day activities for youth during Term 3. As part of our commitment to meeting the needs of youth (age 17 – 24) in our area we are offering an activity based program on Friday’s during Term 3. The start date will be Friday 9 August at the Pukekohe Youth Centre on Roulston Street in Pukekohe. The time will be from 9am – 3pm. There will be no set cost at this stage – the idea would be that you pay for the activities your teen chooses to do. For example: We might catch the train and go for a swim at the Papakura pools – you would need to cover the cost of the train and the pools. We would be looking to offer life skills (shopping/cooking/transport), fitness and sport, creative arts (music/dance/drama/art), social skills training and FUN! The staff will be Nicki and Amelia (1:5 ratio). If your teen requires one on one help we would need you to support us with that. We would like to cap this at 10 youth for this term. I will let you know more details of how the days will run when I get an idea of numbers. Please let me know if you are interested in taking part and feel free to share this with other families.
