Day curfew has been completely lifted from all the police station areas of Muzaffarnagar city in Uttar Pradesh. Inspector General of Police Meerut zone, Brij Bhushan said the situation in the entire Muzaffarnagar and the adjoining districts is under control and there is no reoport of any untoward incident from anywhere. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav is likely to visit violence hit Muzaffarnagar and other places hit by recent violence today. He will also visit relief camps in the district where about forty three thousand people have taken shelter. ADG law and order Arun Kumar said in Lucknow that a Special Investigation Cell has been constituted to probe the violent clashes in and around Muzaffarnagar. He said a Composit Forensic Science Team has already reached the troubled places of western UP and has begun collecting evidence against perpetrators of violence and communal enmity. The Prime Minister is likely to visit Muzaffarnagar tomorrow. PMO sources said in New Delhi that Dr.Manmohan Singh will make an on-the-spot assessment of the situation. He is expected to discuss the situation with Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav in the wake of riots that have claimed 47 lives so far. Dr. Singh will also visit hospitals where the injured are admitted. After the violence broke out there, the Prime Minister talked to the Chief Minister and assured all help from the Centre in dealing with the situation. AIR Lucknow correspondent quoting district administration reports that scores of senior officials are camping in trouble-hit Muzaffarnagar to maintain a close vigil on the situation.
