Day eight of Cancer Treatment:- Well it was a week ago today that I started this journey, and what a week it has been. So how did I celebrate??? With another visit to the hospital for a blood test!! After so many visits by car, and the robbing car park company, taking nearly £30 in total for those visits, I decided to spend the day as a bus passenger, instead of a driver for a change! And what an experience it was! By the end of the first journey I felt quite sea sick! Not so much the driving, but the state of our roads since the epic floods we have had is just simply dire! OK, slight tangent here, but after all our floods, who else thinks Hollywood is having a laugh, by bringing out NOAH just as the water subsides? Thats going to be a blockbuster in Somerset!! Anyway, off on the 89 I went, just taking in the sights around me from the top deck, listening to every bus stop being announced. One after the other all along the route, Well I must have nodded off around Blackheath, because the next one that popped into my head and roused me out of unconsciousness was SQUIRRELS! Well, stupidly as this was announced, I am looking around outside for said furry animals, before a split second later, I realize the bus isnt giving us a running commentary of our British wildlife, but a place we had passed. Well I got to the hospital, met up with my brilliant team of chemo nurses and booked in. Showed them how much my lymphoma had gone down, and they couldnt believe it! I feel cheated! I sad, with a cheeky smile, It shouldnt be gone already Well I know we have more test to go, before I am given the all clear, but the signs are good. My blood test showed that my blood count had dipped very slightly, but due to the high readings initially, and the fact they are supposed to dip didnt cause me or the nurses any alarm, still beautiful, was their comment! and that is just me!
