Day off work.....Hmmm, what will I do? Im going to clean up the back yard. Remember that photo I posted a couple of weeks back of my back yard? Well it got even worse since then & knowing that if I wanted something done about it Id have to do it myself so I did. First I decided to clean up under the pergola & clean up the outdoor setting cause god knows George hasnt bothered & now that we dont have Pearl anymore there is no excuse not to put the new cushions on the outdoor chairs anymore (pearl ate the last ones). I want to be able to actually use my outdoor area for a change. Waiting for George to do anything is like waiting to win lotto only I actually have a very small chance of winning lotto. God damn it, the bloody hose wont reach under the pergola so I have to put the chairs out on the grass.......after I flatten it out a bit. Wash them while trying to contend with a neurotic German Shepherd that lurvs attacking the water coming out of the end of the hose. Now for the glass table.....oh boy............nup Im gonna have to mow the grass first. So I go to get some bags out of the shed only I cant find the shed so back inside to get my machete & snake bite anti venom & head off to find the shed.....Ah, finally.....there it is. Now to mow the grass...er um weeds! I swear it is up to my chest in some parts & those prickle weed thingys you get in your lawn? I had no idea they could get so big. Some are the size of small trees. Man this is hard work & no line for the whipper snipper so I cant trim off anything with that. Lucky Ive got a lawn mower with balls. Anyway, after filling 6 35 kilo chaff bags with grass cuttings Im only 3 quarters of the way done but Ive run out of time & energy now. At least I can move the table out on the grass & give it a good clean now. Thats okay George, dont get up, I can move the table on my own....& I did......table cleaned....lawn mower hosed down coz it looked like a grass monster....now for me! I am sooooo covered in grass. I mean I look like an alien from the planet grass people.....not just covered in grass, my skin is actually stained green. Im so filthy I wont even let myself in the house like this so I have to strip off at the door before I can go inside for a shower, even my gum boots are full of grass. I have grass down my pants, grass in my bra.......ugh......need a shower! Takes me back to my teenage years of dirt bike riding when wed come home from the quarry in winter covered in mud & my boyfriends mum would make us strip off our muddy clothes & hose ourselves off in the back yard before shed let us in the house to have a shower......in the middle of winter people! F#@KING COLD!!!!!!!!!!!! Whats for tea they might ask? Theres a fridge full of left overs you can have that or make yourself a sandwich coz I aint cookin tonight! God being a single parent is hard work......but then I have been one for years now, havent I!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
