Day out in the Ping valley today. Early morning walk around village and then to Chiang Dao cave. Eleanor fed the fish and I took photos. We did a short tour of the cave as the wet has flooded some of it. Then on to Ban Muang Ngai for lunch and a look at the Naresuan Stupa. King Naresuan was famous for killing the son of the Burmese king in single combat. He apparently lived in and liked the upper Ping valley. He also like chooks and the memorial is littered with plaster chooks everywhere (photos in another post.) Back home while Aho went shopping at Mae Rim. Eleanor and I did another walk around the village environs when it cooled off. Lots of rice, maize, Longan trees and long beans.
