Day six with no heat. Today my strategy was to involve another Heat A/C company and see who could get here first and fix the thing. 1st one to get it to work gets paid. Well, company #3 said the pressure switch is missing. Company #1 obviously took it out to find a replacement part. Company #1 will have to ask the tech where the switch is. Meanwhile company #3 says that the furnace installed two years ago is not vented to code and poses a real danger of Carbon Monoxide escaping into the house. Called company #1 and they would have to talk to the head honcho about that one. No call back, just the answering machine. Set up my emergency propane 5 panel space heater and at least it is half way warm near the heater and upstairs. The race is on to see who can find the elusive pressure switch and who is going to fix the venting of the furnace. I wonder if they service the International Space Station and the only switch is up there?
