Day 9-ALERT-ALERT-ALERT-ALERT-ALERT-ALERT-ALERT-ALERT-ALERT-ALERT-ALERT-ALERT!!! TODAY, 3-17-(Happy Saint Patricks Day!) IS THE NINTH DAY, OF THE 12 DAYS OF Ws TRANSITION, FROM WINTER INTO A NEW SPRING, IN OUR LIVES!!! Are you ready for it to be Spring, already, in your life? Many of us need to transition to a New Beginning...The #9 is the # for finality and judgement...We need to finally make sound/good judgements, in our lives... In Winter, things die, in Spring, things can come back to life, using sound/good judgement, which requires us utilizing Godly WISDOM, the ninth W word!!! We began this transition on March 9th and will complete it on March 20th, the first day of Spring. Well be looking at a different W word on each day! Day 1, the W was WILL-yield yours to His! Day 2, the W was WORSHIP-abandon yourself to Worship Him wholeheartedly! Day 3, the W was WORD-Keep it, feed upon it, daily! Day 4, the W was WORK-Hard and wise/smart-endure to WIN! Wise Observation Reinforces Knowledge! Work It Now! Day 5, the W was WALK-Straight, His way/humbly! Day 6, the W was WORTH-Recognize Gods WORTH for us, knowing and understanding the value and love that He has for each one of us!WORTH-having value; quality is good or important enough to justify and redeem, ie. highly esteemed! Which is exactly what He has done for us! Wow! Thats just amazingly awesome!!! Day 7, the W was WAIT-Prayer, Wait upon Him and dont Worry! Waiting involves; actively serving, praying, tarrying, travailing, trusting, hoping, with great patience and that, without worrying or fretting... Day 8, the W was WASH-Me white as snow, cleanse me thoroughly Lord, spirit, soul and body, that I may be given the strength and ability to then work out my salvation with humility, fear and trembling, through the power of Your Holy Spirit working in me! The ninth W of the 12 Ws to consider how to live, as believers, as we leave Winter and enter into a new Spring is: WISDOM-Seek it, ask for it, apply it, be taught and trained by it and dont settle for anything less than Gods WISDOM! Scripture to consider: But if any of you lack wisdom, you should pray to God, who will give it to you; because God gives generously and graciously to all. But when you pray, you must believe and not doubt at all. Whoever doubts is like a wave in the sea that is driven and blown about by the wind. If you are like that, unable to make up your mind and undecided in all you do, you must not think that you will receive anything from the Lord. (James 1:5-8 GNT) Are there any of you who are wise and understanding? You are to prove it by your good life, by your good deeds performed with humility and wisdom. But if in your heart you are jealous, bitter, and selfish, dont sin against the truth by boasting of your wisdom. Such wisdom does not come down from heaven; it belongs to the world, it is unspiritual and demonic. Where there is jealousy and selfishness, there is also disorder and every kind of evil. But the wisdom from above is pure first of all; it is also peaceful, gentle, and friendly; it is full of compassion and produces a harvest of good deeds; it is free from prejudice and hypocrisy. And goodness is the harvest that is produced from the seeds the peacemakers plant in peace. (James 3:13-18 GNT)“I am Wisdom, I am better than jewels; nothing you want can compare with me. (Proverbs 8:11 GNT) For whoever finds me finds life and receives favor from the lord. (Proverbs 8:35 NLT) Wisdom has built her house and made seven columns for it. (Proverbs 9:1 GNT) A house is built by wisdom and becomes strong through good sense. Through knowledge its rooms are filled with all sorts of precious riches and valuables. (Proverbs 24:3, 4 NLT) So, if we lack WISDOM, we can ask for it, as long as we ask without doubting, for if we doubt, then we are double-minded and should not expect to receive anything from The Lord! We cant afford too, nor should we be indecisive! Let our yes be yes and our no be no! Godly WISDOM is characterized by; purity, peacefulness, being considerate, submissive, merciful, productive, impartial and sincere. We should desire WISDOM more than we desire anything else, in life, for nothing in this life even begins to compare with having WISDOM, which results in bringing us a true fulfilling and satisfying life, along with Gods favor! Our house is built with WISDOM, which becomes strong through the good sense that WISDOM brings and also fills our life with precious valuables, from The Lord! A couple of years ago, The Lord led me to do a 40 day fast, which ended on the 37th day, (that is a story to tell another time), but during the fast, while spending a copious amount of time in The Proverbs, The Lord showed me, without any other source but The Word, The 7 Pillars of WISDOM referenced in Proverbs 9:1! At least this is what I believed He showed me: (1.) FEAR OF THE LORD-it is the foundation and the beginning of WISDOM. Honor, respect, give glory to, worship, obey and serve with your whole heart. (Proverbs 9:10) (2.) KNOWLEDGE- is understanding and applying what you know and have learned in appropriate, good, and beneficial ways. (Proverbs 9:10) Also, KNOWLEDGE-brings wealth. (Proverbs 24:4) (3.)DISCRETION/DISCERNMENT-having good counsel, advice, insight and sound judgement. (Proverbs 8:12,14, 15:22) (4.) PRUDENCE-being wise to overlook insults, do what is right, honorable and pleasing to The Lord. (Proverbs 8:12, 12:16b, 21:3,33) (5.) INTEGRITY-an upright heart in all dealings in life. (Proverbs 11:1,3, 13:6, 20:10,23) (6.) CORRECTION-discipline, dont despise it, yield to it, dont ignore it, heed it and be honored! Hate it and die! Listen to instruction and live! (Proverbs 12:1, 13:18, 15:10, 15:32, 8:33) (7.) HUMILITY-walk, clothed in it! Power, wealth and honor comes through humility. We all have a choice...we can choose HUMILITY or choose to be humiliated...we make the choice! (Proverbs 11:2, 22:4, Micah 6:8, 1st Peter 5:6) I realize this is quite long, but I want to close this W day with a prayer I prayed on the tenth day of the fast... Teach us, Oh Lord, the ways of WISDOM, discipline and understanding. Give to us Your insight for living a disciplined and prudent life. May we choose to do what is right, just and fair. Let us never reject Your WISDOM, but may we always walk in The Light of who You are and fear, (honor and respect, especially revere) The Lord at all times, despising not Your Supreme WISDOM! Without You Lord, we will not find enjoyment and fulfillment in this life, much less in the life to come! May we always please You, so that we may continue to receive and experience Your joy, peace, WISDOM, knowledge and happiness. We know and accept that it is You, Oh Lord, Who makes all things beautiful, in its time! Help us all to live the good life of being happy, full of joy, while doing good while we live. Let us enjoy our work, the work You have given us to do, while we are living. Help us to quickly fulfill our vows made with our lips. Thank You Lord, for Your gifts of health, wealth and the wonderful provision of Your WISDOM, but especially for The Gift of Salvation, Jesus Christ...Amen and Amen!!! Blessings...
