Day two of the 5 day music thingy. This is a track called Invisible Architecture and comes from the first album of the three part Cathedral Oceans series by John Foxx. For me, this is the very definition of the word sublime. His use of reverb on this piece is quite simply stunning and without equal in anything Ive ever heard. As a work in its own right, the strength of atmosphere and evocative, yet simple, vocalisations create an other-worldly experience that touches the soul like nothing Ive encountered. Ive studied this track, such is its inspirational qualities in both musical and technical terms, and I still marvel at how Foxxy has almost used the reverb as an instrument in its own right.
