Day two of trial: Everything went extremely well. I began the day with a smile and wished our judge good morning. I think that helped a little bit. Our expert was extraordinary. He was well prepared, confident, clear, and convincing. I did not expect him to do anywhere near as well as he did. After a very good direct examination, he handled cross examination with ease. Taking the opportunity at one point to tell the jury that he noticed something important when he was reviewing the medical records from 10 years ago last evening. It was clear that he cared about his opinion and his work and he was going to tell the jury exactly like it is. Family and another expert were well prepared too. We. closed today with the direct examination of my injured client. She was understated and clear. She handled the emotional aspects of her testimony with grace. It was one of my best days in trial in 25 years.
