Day59.... Good night to all the Osho lovers out there over the horizon of our small watery globe. The equinox moves into position in 9hours or so (due 3:57am AEST). With Oshos passion for astronomy it is fitting to close this years (2014) inaugural Osho Pune4 Raw Juice Celebration. This 60day interval has been a celebration between two key landmarks of the Osho calendar year. What is needed for next year Raw Juice Osho Pune4 Celebration 2015 is a specific and accurate time and place of Oshos death to identify the astronomy positions. Now on our subject of vegetarianism it is alarming to note as a species (humans) we unnecessarily nurture, torture and murder 3.000,000,000 (3 billion) land animals each week for meat. Shocking to think about is it not? The massive ecological burdens of sustaining and disposing of 400million animals each day is really stretching our limited terrestrial resources. It costs us heavily to be a carnivorous species including the burden of using billions of litres of cleaning and feeding water, time to grow and kill, land clearing for grazing, trees removed, tonnes of methane burps, depletion of our oxygen and adding to our carbon dioxide footprint. If we diverted our consciousness towards growing mankind a plant based diet then there would be sufficient vegetarian food to go around for everyone. There would be no need for human starvation. Here we are talking about food again! Tomorrow I will celebrate Oshos Enlightenment Day with some of his favourite vegetarian delights. His simple vegetarian meals of steamed subzi, bindi, chapatti and basmati sounds perfect. Good night!
