Daylight Savings Time? No. Weekend Savings Time? Yes! If I were president, I would institute Weekend Savings Time. Every Friday at 1:00 p.m., everyone would set their clocks ahead one hour, so everyone working would basically go home an hour earlier on Friday. But dont worry, we would make it up by setting our clocks back an hour Sunday night at 10:00 p.m. So every weekend would get two extra hours. What do you think? Also on my presidential platform would be eight day weeks. Since people are so busy, we would add a day to the weekend. Work five days and then have a three day weekend every week. Lets call the extra day...Hartday. I just havent decided if we shorten the amount of weeks in the year, or if every year would now be 52 days longer (which would slow down the aging process?) And Im working on something to do with hibernation. Why not do like some animals do and sleep through the winter? Gary Hart for president! It didnt work in 1980, but maybe now is the time.
