Days 12 and 13 Have had the most amazing 2 days on one of the most diverse and beautiful islands in Australia, Fraser island! We went over with Hollys Grandpa, her Auntie Tif, Uncle Tim and cousin Jasper. The excitement started pretty much straight away when we got on the barge and looked over the edge to see the ocean thick with jellyfish! Then when they were closing the ramp one of the jellyfish got stuck on it and so ended up on the boat! Some brave girl held it before they threw it back because apparently they arent poisonous. Once we were on the island we went 4 wheel driving along the beach for a couple of hours until we reached our first stop, eli creek. Its a fresh water creek that runs down into the ocean and the water is absolutely crystal clear, was absolutely gorgeous! Our second stop was a rock pool in the ocean called champagne waters where the waves break over the rocks and bubble up like champagne. Last stop was waddy point where we camped for the night. The following morning Holly and I were in the shower block when we spotted a massive huntsman on the floor about 2 feet in front of an occupied toilet. I called out to let whoever was in there know about it. Just after I did the huntsman took off running a million miles an hour straight into the occupied toilet. Next thing a poor little Asian girl came running out terrified! Was absolutely hilarious but I dont think the poor girl would have agreed! Lol After packing up camp we headed over to these massive sand dunes which we climbed, it was absolutely exhausting but well worth it for the views once we got to the top! Then back to Eli creek for another swim and then into the rainforest for a bit of a look. Then as we were heading back to the barge with only about an hour left to go, and after saying we couldnt believe we hadnt seen any dingos, we finally spotted some! There were 3 puppies on the side of the road and they were absolutely gorgeous! So throwing caution to the wind we jumped out of the cars amd got as close as we were game enough to for some photos! Was absolutely brilliant! The perfect end to a perfect couple of days!! :D
