De Lima mum on Esmeralda claim her ex- husband met Napoles MANILA, Philippines – Justice Secretary on Wednesday declined comment on the claim by former NBI deputy director Reynaldo Esmeralda that her ex-husband, Atty. Plaridel Bohol, had met with businesswoman Janet Lim-Napoles at the NBI last year before her arrest in the illegal detention case against whistleblower Benhur Luy. The DOJ chief said she was keeping silent in deference to the NBI ad hoc committee investigating allegations by Esmeralda that several NBI men, including former director Nonnatus Rojas, had received Napoles at his NBI office. Rojas has not denied the allegation, but stressed it was an above-board meeting. Pressed for a reaction about the inclusion of her former husband’s name among those who met Napoles, de Lima said, “I don’t want to comment on that since there is the ad hoc committee doing its investigation.
