De gustibus non disputandem est was a phrase I heard my father say - TopicsExpress

De gustibus non disputandem est was a phrase I heard my father say many times when my brother and I would be arguing over the merits of one thing versus another. Rough translation from Latin----You can`t dispute someone`s taste. If you like lobster and I like steak, neither of us is wrong; we simply have different tastes. Same with living in the country versus living in the city. We like what we like.
