DeEttes Update Thursday 1-30-2014 10:00am Good morning everyone DeEtte had a rough night last night. She was given steroids early in the evening to help reduce the swelling in her vocal cords and it kept her restless until around 3-4:00. The respiratory dept came in and gave her a breathing treatment then put a CPap mask and machine on her to help her breath easier and relax. She was able to finally rest until around 9:00am. The respiratory dept came in at 9:30 gave her another breathing treatment, took off the CPap machine, and now shes on a nasal cannula and feeling much better. The plan today is to lower the Precedex medicine, give her Ativan to keep her calm, and may move down out of ICU and into a step down room. She will be seeing a Speech Therapist and Physical Therapist today. Overall she looks good, feels good, and is trying to rest as much as she can considering the situation. She slept with a clinging cross, said her prayers, then asked for the Charleen Richard prayer cloth and medal that Dayton gave her the other day. It will continue to be a task for her, but she is doing unbelievable at this point. Our God has really blessed our family and we would have never reached this point without the prayers and support from all of you. Many of you have kneeled down and prayed to Jesus for our DeEtte and we love you all for that. Our little town has continued to step it up for her and I couldnt be more proud. Prayer and the belief of miracles have touched so many, so smile today; you have made a difference. It feels so good that so many of you have turned to prayer to lift up a very sick woman. Be proud, your prayers are working. I love you guys and will continue updating all of you. Mark
