Dead-drift, Dead Threadfin Shad...floats on its side....it had to be realistic enough for slow to moderate flows below the dams, where the trout are large & educated. Some of these shad are made to float on their sides and some sink quickly, so in moderate to fast flows, I usually fish the dry-dropper technique. Ive landed big trout on these, and also had a heron fly over 100 yards to try to eat one on the surface. Im now gonna call this prototype a success. — with Nick Street.
