Dealing with the age group we do on our VetsRoll trips, we have unfortunately become accustomed to the news of losing our beloved Veterans and Rosies. Certainly not jaded, but accustomed. Todays news has hit us like a ton of bricks... ...My (Mark) sister-in-law....my beloved sister-in-law, Betty Finnegan, married to my brother Jerry, passed away from an apparent heart attack. She was just weeks away from her 65th birthday and she was with Jerry at the time of her heart attack. Betty and Jerry have lived in Meridian (Boise), Idaho since 1988 and were truly a team...as in love as any couple can be. They traveled from Idaho to Beloit in their motorhome in 2012 and again in 2014 to be assistants on our VetsRoll trips. They were on bus #7 on the 2014 VetsRoll journey. Thankfully, Betty was able to spend a good deal of time with our mother while she was here. She leaves behind five grown, wonderful children Jason Finnegan, Lisa Ford, Julie Finnegan Nilsson, Shelly and Brian Finnegan and lots of grandchildren. Our grieving love goes out to Jerry and family...we love you all!
