Dear AS Friends, For those of you who have not met me yet, Im a sarcoma pathologist who has a special interest in angiosarcoma. I often give lectures to other doctors and med students where I discuss AS. Im giving one this Saturday in Texas, in fact. I would love to have more pictures of what AS looks like before surgery so I can show the very wide range of ways the tumor can look and how easily it can be misdiagnosed. Would any of you be willing to share pictures of your tumor with me so I can use them for lectures and other educational purposes? If you are interested in doing this, please email your pictures to me (higher quality than downloads from FB that way) at JMGardnerMD@gmail. Please just put a line in the email that says: I grant Jerad Gardner permission to use these images for educational purposes so I have proof of your permission in case asked. I would never, of course, reveal anyones name or identifiers when using them images. I may also write medical textbook chapters or papers on AS in the future...if you would be interested in contributing your pictures to an educational publication like that, please let me know and add a line to the effect of: I also grant permission to use these pictures for medical publications. If you are in any way uncomfortable with this idea, please feel no pressure whatsoever to contribute! I just want to do what I can to raise awareness of your disease.
