Dear Academy Member, The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics is conducting a focus group for the NutriGuides Application, a mobile application with over 300 nutrition recommendations from the Evidence Analysis Library. The focus group will be done to gather opinions, beliefs and attitudes about the usability of the Academy’s NutriGuides mobile application. The purpose of the focus group is to develop an improved version of the app making it user friendly and increase utilization from dietitians. Individuals must meet the following criteria for participation: • RD/RDNs who use the mobile app on a regular basis and RD/RDNs who have never used the phone app. • Dietetic Interns who routinely use the mobile app and dietetic interns who have never used the phone app. • Be able and willing to download the NutriGuides app on a device that supports the app (I-phone/I-pad or Android) if you don’t already have it downloaded. • Be able and willing to use the NutriGuides app to gain experience and understanding its functions. • Have computer access to complete a survey. • Available to participate at the scheduled focus group time. • Willing to sign or give verbal consent to participate in the focus group. Benefits of Participation: • Your valuable input will assist in the development of an Academy tool that will help dietetics professionals maintain quality care. • Incentive: Free evidenced-based nutrition practice guideline electronic toolkit and free download of the app if not already purchased.
