Dear All, It’s with great pleasure an honor that I announce to you that the Poster entitled “Analysis of Students Perception on Integrated Curriculum” has won the 1st prize as the best poster presented at the prestigious 9th Annual Clinical Research Symposium held at KFMC. The driving force behind this great success was the “Curriculum Integration Research Team”, lead and presented by Rukia Kafaji and Saara Mansoor and the membership of Tehreem Khan, Dr. Ayman Mohamed, Dr. Mohammed Shareef, Dr. Mohamed Altannir and Dr. Akef Obeidat. Well done Rukia and Saara. You set an example for what dedication and hard work can do and thus set a great example to be followed by all our students. Myself and the COM are very proud of the success of this team since they were selected from among over a 100 projects presented in the conference. The participants they won over included consultants, faculty, fellows and residents. This is a clear indication of the quality of our students and the research they produce and that our students are finally bringing to life the vision of Alfaisal to effectively participate in producing valuable knowledge rather than to just consuming it. On behalf of the team, I would to extend my sincere appreciation to Dr. Akef and to Dr. Mohamed Al-Tannir since this project is one of the fruits of the Medical Education Research Group (MERG) under Dr. Akef ‘s kind supervision. Their guidance and continuous support played a significant role in this success. The thanks and appreciations are also extended to Prof. Khaled Al-Kattan our beloved Dean and our spiritual father for his usual generous and nonstop support to the MERG and our research activities especially those in medical education.
