Barbora is a midwife & has been volunteering with the VVN since 2011. She has volunteered twice for us at Tu Du Peace Village, Go Vap orphanage/ Trung Tâm Nuôi Dưỡng Bảo Trợ Trẻ Em Gò Vấp Orphanage as well as other areas in Vietnam with our medical partners ADM Vietnam. Barboras been fantastic at recruiting medical volunteers as well as helping to save childrens lives by getting shunt manufacturers for the children afflicted with hydrocephalus, Sudocrem and also EB bandages for Helping Orphans Worldwide (HOW). In addition, Barbora has taught the staff at Go Vap orphanage how to check for signs of hydrocephalus as well as how to correctly use naso gastric feeding tubes! Barbora has now embarked on a journey to Ethiopia with Doctors Without Borders/ Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) for a few months. Please join us in saying a huge THANK YOU for being such a wonderful volunteer & humanitarian and good luck for her medical mission in Ethiopia!
