Dear All the GDA supporters, Hi! My name is Chris, one of the GDA BBDs( Beautiful Black Dogs)! You must be wondering about why I was in a giant 18-wheeler....well, sorry to let you know a bit late, though, I am..... OFFICIALLY ADOPTED THE OTHER DAY!!! Yes, Im EX-GDA BBD now!! WOO-HOO!!! My dad is one of GREAT GDA supporters, and hes a truck driver! He already has 2 BIG black dogs---- Jake( 9 ), a black PETbull mix that my dad picked up at the Krogers parking lot when he was a pup, AND Drake( 6) , a purebred Black Lab, that my dad got from other family member years ago. He was NOT really looking for another dog to add, but you know, my dad loves dogs and always felt sorry that I was waiting for my forever home for so long---- I was one of THE longest staying Blackies, next to Suzie, a little cute Black Petbull mix gal!---btw, shes still AVAILABLE! Please check her out if you can!! Anyway, He decided to give a shot, but still at that time, he was not so sure that I would be a good fit. So it started as a trial! See, my dad drives 18-wheeler, delivering firewood from Houston to Corpus Christi! Since the truck was owned by his parents company, he has been taking Jake & Drake every time he makes a trip. Yep, the dogs are welcome to ride, too! BUT His dog definitely need to RIDE WELL. And he does ranching and raising cattle, too. So to be his dog, the dog definitely be COW FRIENDLY or smart enough not to get in the trouble with those! AND of course, as a country dog, the dog is expected to be a good GUARD dog for him, his land and his livestock. I had to pass all these requirement to be HIS GIRL! Well, because I have a bit Chow in my bloodline, I have been such a great guard dog already that made my dad very proud! My first trip( 1st pic) to Houston was a bit nervous one, I have to confess, but still my dad said I did pretty good. My second trip( 2nd pic) to Corpus Christi, I rode like a champ! So far, I have been handling cows very well! ---well, just the other day, I was too close to one of the bull, and he pushed me away which was a bit surprise! Hey, The cowgirl 101! You never ever stand just in front of the bull!! I learned that :) After all these, my dad approved me and I joined the Donaho pack! The life is good, and I love my dad very much! Im finally.....home :) Have a happy holiday, everyone!!! Chris Donaho, an EX-GDA blackies
