Dear #AnitaSarkeesian and #UtahState, I am sad that a being a feminist allows reason for hatred to plague our campus. Gender inequality is alive and well in the world. It is saddening that one can be bullied over their views when the opportunity to talk openly makes way for a deeper understanding of a real social issue. Such an understanding could truly enrich our campus. I understand Anita, why you are not coming. I feel similarly and will not be attending classes today due to my own triggers and fears. However, Utah State, thank you for holding classes. For showing that these threats are made by cowards and that Aggies will not be intimidated by those who follow feminists around threatening their lives. I am proud to call myself an Aggie today.
