Dear Artists & Friends of the Williamson I am writing to you all to encourage you to show support for our much loved Williamson Art Gallery & Museum; as it continues to face challenges in the weeks, months and years ahead. The Oxton Artists are organising a wonderful supportive event and need you to let your pictures do the talking - absolutely everyone can take part! They need you to create and donate postcard sized artworks in any medium - its such a practical and creative way to help and will make a delightful exhibition. If you want to join in, please read the attached image- this invites you to participate in the first ever Extraordinary Postcard Art event in aid of the Friends of the Williamson Art Gallery! We want individuals, schools, everyone, to join in! Please feel free to circulate this to your contacts. Don’t forget to save the date and to tell your friends as all are welcome to the evening sale of postcard artworks 1 May 2014. Every anonymous work will be for sale at the affordable price of £20.00, which is jolly good for an original to grace your walls! It is really important as well as attracting artists to create the works, that an audience will be attracted to purchase these fine works. All money raised will be donated to the charitable works of the Friends of the Williamson. This event is being organised by the Oxton Artists - who enjoy exhibiting at the Williamson and want to see it thrive for years to come!
