Dear Baltimore Restaurants: (Cafes,Bars, Trucks - You know who you are) _____ Please stop charging outrageous prices for basic foods: If you wish to be a big time restaurant then stop acting like a neighborhood establishment. I feel this way, with strong remorse, everytime I overpay, & I always overtip, for a basic meal. (OK, the sausage fritters at Donnas were great as was the Spinach salad and the French Onion soup was a joke put together with warm fluid & shredded cheese). Please offer basic prices and I am sure your profit margin will be met by basic customers and over-met by folks who want fancy. I mean a $12.00 burger where the fries are the best and only thing to complement? (It was frozen wasnt it?) I must bid you adieu even on those days/nights when my depressive emotional state demands pampering. Goodbye and I hope for competition soon that is not just another raucous bar. Tim.
