Dear Beloved, I wanted to make you aware of some special events/services that will be happening at NCBC over the next several months. On July the 21st the Hutton’s will be with us. For those of you who are newer with us, David Hutton was our previous pastor. He, his wife Shannon and their boys Caleb and Zachary have been with the IMB serving oversees. David will be sharing what is going on in their new assignment in one of the countries in central Asia. After morning worship we will be having a family BBQ/Cookout. (More info on how you can help with that will be coming out shortly.) As Pastor Ken announced on Sunday, we will also have two special events in September. Pastor Paul Veit (AKA the Dino Pastor) will be holding 4 special meetings with us on the weekend of September 14th and 15th (two on Saturday, two on Sunday). He is an expert in Dinosaur fossils and combines his science with a defense of the creation account of Genesis. He has his own museum in Bridgton, ME, and will be taking his traveling Museum to us. The sessions will look something like this: Saturday AM kids DinoFest with 20 dino themed carnival games. Teaching: "True History of Dinosaurs". Saturday PM Teaching: Creation vs. Evolution. Sunday during worship Teaching: "Prove It - Is the Bible Really the Supernatural Word of God". Sunday/School Teaching: “Ice Age, Mammoths and What are Neanderthals" This is geared toward all ages. As we get more info out to you, I encourage you to leverage this by inviting friends (especially children) as they will be challenged and entertained at the same time. You can learn more about Pastor Veit by following this link. dinopastor/ Later in September we will have the Cullen’s with us (Doug and Joli), who are the missionaries we support – “Choose Life ministries” They will be ministering during the Sunday morning worship service the 29th and then again in a special evening service that same Sunday. They are really looking forward to seeing us as it has been at least 3 years since they last ministered with us. You may recall their emphasis is a pro-life message combined with the gospel message of Life through Jesus! It will also be a great time for inviting neighbors. You can learn more about them by following this link. chooselifeusa.org/ Please keep these special events in prayer. And I encourage you to take up the challenge Pastor Ken issued this past Sunday to put on your sneakers and get out into the streets and avenues of our community and pray for each and every address while you get some exercise. Pray that the power of the Holy Spirit will infiltrate our community and that we will see souls won for the kingdom. Blessings in Christ Pastor Tim
