Dear Beloved, The Creator is Good and Merciful! Sept. 12 - TopicsExpress

Dear Beloved, The Creator is Good and Merciful! Sept. 12 - 13, 2014 was spent attending a discussion- MARRIAGE AND DIVORCE IN THE SIGHT OF GOD- Malachi 3:16. It was an event held under tents, aliken the old time revivals in the USA. The message and discussions were held in English and Twi (a Ghanaian language). Upon listening to the messages, the marriage vows and ceremonies were analyzed in their traditional customs. These customs and traditions were as outlined in the scriptures. The analysis of such was interesting. It allowed itself to show how these groups in Ghana had traditions linked to ancient Egypt (Kemet). Not understanding Twi did not distance itself from understanding the nature of the questions asked by persons in their local language. The questions asked in the local language appeared to evoke more response s from the audience. Refreshments were made available. Similar to America, times given to start and end are not strictly followed. However, the participants appeared not to be uneasy about it. Transportation was provided both nights. Bibles were made available for our usage. Pastors (Mr. & Mrs. Nyayi) were very knowledgable about the scriptures. It was interesting to see how they could readily recall scriptures pertinent to the questions concerns at hand. Even the scriptures were read in English and Twi. The readers were able to find scriptural passages at any time. Some of us need some heads-up prior to going to particular passages. We were getting home about 10:30 p.m. each night. Mrs. Harris and I and I decided to stay in the apartment on Sunday and rest. That was not to be. Master Teacher Maulana called on Sunday morning. Informed I and I of the dangers going into remote areas of Ghana. However, we had read in the first newspaper we purchased here how the people in the area had killed an alleged thief. The second alleged thief was rescued by the local law enforcement before he met the same fate. Let us pause and examine the above. Going into a remote/ out of the way area in a foreign country could spell danger. In San Antonio, TX, wearing the wrong color of attire (red vs blue) could/ have gotten one killed or injured. Being Black walking down the street in San Antonio, persons have been shot/ killed by local law enforcement. And not because of a crime they would have committed. Being elderly walking down the street, persons have been attacked just to see if they could be knocked out in one punch by Black youth and others. The present Attorney General of the USA has indicated he has been stopped and charged with DWI- just because he was Black. Youth in Chicago, IL are said to being killed by other Black Youth and Police- JUST BECAUSE THEY WERE BLACK. I and I, Nias E. Harris I, finds himself in a predicament. Being Black and reported to be anywhere from 55 y.o. to 1,000 y.o places me in many categories. Master Teachers texts a contact for information in the area of which we are interested. A text arrives indicating an exhibition and discussion at the W.B. DuBois Center in Accra which is free. We are encouraged to attend. The discssion starts a 3:00 p.m. It is now 1:15 p.m. While deciding what to do, a young Ghanaian students, who had tried for a couple of days to contact I and I was at the gates of Beachcomber. He had been referred by a Rastafarian at the Arts and Craft Center to see me and ask questions he had. After giving him a short history of Rastafarianism and sharing pictures of our tour to European Museums exploring the African Presence there, andexposing him to Dr. Runoko Rashidis book, another call came in verifying the information about the discussion an invitation was given to us by a Hebrew Israelite. The young man agreed to accompany us. We caught a cab and then a tro tro. It was learned later the tro tros mate was overcharging and was disciplined by his father the driver, in all presence. Making the grounds of the DuBois Center, we were met by a distinguished looking African American gentlemen. We exchanged pleasantries and went inside. It was at the beginning of the discussion we learned the gentleman was the guest speaker. He held a position in the nation of the Hebew Israelites and was the curator of the exhibition to be seen. He had informed us an orginal member of the Last Poets had just entered the hall. WAIT! WAIT! WAIT! The LAST POETS had raised the consciousness of a people in the 1970s and 1980s. The last time I had seen my Cousin Donald, prior to his transition, he had given me a CD of THE LAST POETS. It was during the HOMEGOING PERIOD of my eldest sister. Spiritual Leader Ben Ammi had given my brother and sisters an audience. They had even taken a picture with him. NOW. I and I am in Ghana, W. Africa going to a lecture hosted by the Hebrew Israelites and an ORIGINAL MEMBER OF THE LAST POETS was in attendance. My eyes swelled with tears. This is more than I had even anticipated. The lecturer was well versed in/ on the subject matter- THE AFRICAN EDENIC HERITAGE MUSEUM THE TRUTH ABOUT AFRICAN of MrsAND THE BIBLE EXPLORING THE AFRICAN PRESENCE IN THE PROMISE LAND The lecturer lives in Israel. Other there also live in Israel. BINGO! BINGO! BING0! The lecture was about 3 hours plus. Spellbinding. Interactive. It was a joy to have been present. Even Ferguson, Missouri and its impact and meanng was discussed among other things. Also, the teaching of John Hagee that God cursed Ham. I and I had an opportunity to meet and discuss with Bro. johnson what was being pursued by the Harris. He was very patient and engaging. His conversation was thought provoking. My highlight of the whole trip since leaving San Antonio, TX on this pilgrimmage was the interaction/ discussion of Bro. Johnson and Mrs. Harris. It was educational for me. We arrived home about 10:30 pm. Sat on the beach. About 11:45 p.m. a knock was at the door. Members of the family brought us a table setting of Ghanaian foods. we were most thankful and humbled.
