Dear Birch Bay Ranch Family, Birch Bay Ranch is in trouble. The church that governs BBR has decided that the camp doesn’t fit into their vision and wishes to sell it to another organization. Unfortunately, they have not been able to find a buyer, and if they can’t, they will close Birch Bay Ranch on December 31st, 2013. The land was donated to the church in the 1960’s by the McCaughey family to be used as a Christian summer camp for kids. In the mid 1980’s, the land was transferred to the Birch Bay Ranch Association. Since the Board of Directors for the BBR Association is the same board for the church, they are able to transfer the land back into the church’s name and sell it. The land and buildings are worth 1.5 million dollars. WE NEED YOUR HELP! The Board of Directors are a group of good people who want to do what’s best for their church, but most of them have never been out to Birch Bay Ranch. They might not know the extent of how many lives are changed for Jesus here and how that impact has spread over several generations. This ministry is ALIVE. It has a heart and that heart is beating.
