Dear Bowie parents, [re-posted from August 25, 2014] To help streamline the dismissal process and enhance the safety of students, we have name cards for all students. Its easy to say everybody knows me, so theres no need to bring my childs card, but please, make sure you have this card each time you come to pick up your child and prevent being asked to come inside the building. These cards will be used for car riders and walkers. Church Walkers- For those that pick up your children on the side of the school next to the church, please come down to the grassy area next to the man hole covers and PVC pipes that are adjacent to the pine tree. This will bring you close enough for us to be able to read the card and clearly see who is here to pick up your child. Cross Walkers- If you meet your child at the cross walk, make sure you are standing near the crosswalk area where you and the card are visible to teachers. Car line riders- If you come through the car line, please place the card on the dashboard of your car where it can be read by Coach Thomason. Thanks in advance for your compliance. After all, it is for the sake of the children, and its worth it to make the delivery process as safe as possible! Also, please remember that traffic is heavier the first week of school, so it typically takes a little longer, but with your patience and cooperation, things will run much more smoothly!
