Dear Brave Souls: Thoughts on Martin. Martin Luther Kings day - TopicsExpress

Dear Brave Souls: Thoughts on Martin. Martin Luther Kings day of honor is here today in the USA. He is one of the people like St. John of the Cross, San Juan de La Cruz who was also imprisoned and wrote The Dark Night of the Soul, as Martin wrote amongst many other radiant writings, Letter from Birmingham Jail, both Martins and Johns documents of condemnation, lament, a plan forward, and stiff hope in the face of failures, even so. Here I remember to you conversations with my Maya about how people are erased, including any soul of bright light who has died who can no longer say how it all ought go. Who people interpret rather than listen to that persons own words, their own way of knowing their own lives. There is mention here too of another erased African American-- first diamond Soprano... Ruby Elzy, and more. The thing about Martin was that he did not highlight strife, or violence. He highlighted the struggles inherent, but most of all peace and non-violence. His list of way to succeed that far far too many today no longer heed. So much good could come of heeding his clearly laid out [in his writings] plan for winning freedoms: List of grievances, self-purification [the aspect left out of most movements and this lack causing all manner of loss of momentum], negotiation, and non violent protest. Relentlessly. May we have goodness of intent in some part of all four of the trailblazing Martin laid out... To each her own, to each his own... each soul in their own ways. with love, dr.e themoderatevoice/202057/mlk-day-ruby-elzy-erased-first-american-soprano/
