Dear Brethren, as Children of God, we all must remember though we live in this world, this isn’t our permanent home. During this life on earth, there will be times of trials and hardships. I think it can be easy to get so caught up in this world. Walking by sight is so much easier. We see it; we believe it. But that’s not what faith is all about. When we walk by faith, we don’t get to see the whole picture. We must TRUST God to walk by faith! Before Jesus went to the cross, He warned His disciples that there would be trouble in this world. John 16:33 says "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." So where are you focused? If your eyes are focused on things above, you will: 1. Serve others cheerfully. 2. Be kind to others even when they don’t reciprocate. 3. Be patient with someone who may take more time moving or speaking. 4. Work as unto the Lord, no matter what job you hold. 5. Realize that each trial is a lesson to be learned. 6. Understand that others may be watching your reaction to trouble. 7. Depend on the Lord in all things. 8. Pray without ceasing.
