Dear Brianna, The first time I sat in another room across from your class as you met with each family one at a time, and I could hear you talking to the children and their parents, I wasnt sure weather to smile or cry. I was so proud of the way you so carefully made each child feel confident in what they were able to do, the way you comforted the parents that were concerned. With each time I was able to just drop by your class to visit on my way home from travels, I was so impressed with the way you really did let them know how you cared about them. You told them you understood how they felt when they missed their Mammas because you missed your Mamma too, and they knew you understood their feelings. You set up a bank account and asked them to make deposits of good things, and showed them how hurting feelings was making a withdraw from the account. You helped them understand they needed to be kind to each other. You held them if they were sad, you emailed details about their days to their parents, you responded to concerns immediately, you were shining even in your first year. Like I said, and I will say it again, parents who get to bring their child to your classroom are very fortunate. I am proud of your work. Happy Thanksgiving. :)
