Dear Brook Hollow Family, What is the current dilemma or problem - TopicsExpress

Dear Brook Hollow Family, What is the current dilemma or problem you are facing today? Maybe it is a health issue, lack of finances, vocational concerns, family crisis, or even relationship woes. For me, it is mechanical. Ugh! Last week, we had two cars in the shop at the same time. It was and continues to be a great frustration. None of us are immune from regular problems or even a unique crisis. Since the days of Adam and Eve, to the present, all of humanity has dealt with one dilemma after the other. Let’s face it…problems are just a part of living in this world. The Apostle Paul had his share of problems. His thorn in the flesh, shipwrecked, bitten by snakes, and the ongoing ridicule and rejection from other people. Paul’s problems were usually directly related to his faith in Christ. Our problems are typically general and usually have nothing to do with our faith. Paul regularly addressed each situation with bold faith and contentment. But like us, Paul was vulnerable to frustration and doubt, too. Every problem we endure, is accompanied by additional concerns or distractions. Obviously, some problems have more than others. But the worst fall-out of any problem is the temptation to take our focus off of God. I am praying that you and I will not give in to that temptation. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4.6-7 Blessings, Pastor Tom
