Mukesh Kumar Verma along with other 12 officers and crew is detained in merchant ship B Elephant (Tanker) in Egypt/Alexandria for last 4 months by Egyptian Navy. My ship has damaged internet submarine cable in their sea waters. We have been requesting Egyptian Navy to allow us to go home for last 4 months since claims for such damages will be paid by shipowner. But Navy has rejected our mercy request to see our family back home. I request you to take this matter through political channel by all available means and pressurize Egyptian govt by Union Shipping Minister & Ministry of external affairs in India.
