Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Almost two weeks ago we - TopicsExpress

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Almost two weeks ago we (the church) were approached by Thunderbird Preparatory School regarding use of our facilities. Thunderbird Preparatory School is a Charter School beginning its first year of operation. The building they were planning to call home was not going to be finished by the first day of school, August 25. They were in a fix. They needed space to begin classes and were willing to pay for the rental of our church classrooms and worship space. They also reached out to other churches in the area (Huntersville ARP and Huntersville Presbyterian) for space, and were granted access. After careful consideration, consultation with our Trustees, Insurance Company, and other church leadership, we agreed to lease space to the school for the period from August 21-September 6. We believe that entering into this relationship is consistent with who we are as a church, a real partner and asset to the entire community. In addition it exposes more people to the richness of our church fellowship, and gives us an opportunity to make a positive impact on families and children in our community. We are being compensated at a rate that we think is very generous. We believe that the disruption to our church’s ministry will be minimal in this time frame. I will be grateful for your patience and understanding during this time. I also hope that we can find ways to make these guests feel welcomed and supported during their brief stay. Please feel free to contact me with your concerns and suggestions. As always, thank you for allowing me the privilege of journeying in the faith with you. Grace and Peace, Paul B.
