Dear Bulldog buddies, my dear old Gran said if you havent got something good to say about somebody keep your gob shut and thats what I have done!!! But, there is always a but, yesterday I watched a side that certainly has NO direction. I will only comment on yesterday because its clear in my mind.Feel free to challenge me over anything I mention. Did our coach pay due diligence to how Nth play and did he address that at selection? No Brown, Black, Petrie all talls. We use Morris to take Thomas!!! Sorry are we short down back??? Yes!!! Why does Murphy kick the ball in, his kicking power has gone and the pill ALWAYS drops short. Various others that kick in have far more carry on the ball at least allowing us to contest the kick in. Murph is still value to our team dont get me wrong.Watching the 1/4 and 3/4 time huddles, while Macca is talking nearly 1/2 the players are looking at the ground or else where, he doesnt engage them.Mr King our assistant coach says at 1/4 time Thompson has slipped through the net and had 10+ touches, but we will be keeping a close eye on him from now on??? Dogs go for a 5 man fwd line and Thompson is the loose man, give me strength. Can ANYONE tell me why at this time of the season when we have failed again, why we dont run the centre corridore? It happened early in the 2nd 1/4, we didnt kick a goal but the theory worked. I worry about our senior players. Yesterday on 8 occasions a senior player hand passed to a player who was under the hammer Griff, Coons Murph Higgins.!!! The no 23 is a good kid but I reckon he is stuffed, knackered, buggered after injury and a long year. He doesnt need to play anymore this season put him away and play Talia and Roberts. The kid is being made look average and I dont reckon he is. Gia putting the vest back on made no sense, leave him out there. Wil gets put in cotton wool too. Let Cordy n Campbell battle out who should stay. My last observation is, how long can we keep no 6 just as a fwd. Lets start him in the middle and let him be creative all over the ground. I am tired of watching some of the most exciting talent I have ever seen at the club be run into the ground by a coaching panel that has clearly lost direction. These are my view and you can disagree with them as much as you Like. Go Dorgs
