Dear Business Owner and Friend, Have you heard the buzz? The 4th annual Back to School Bash preparations are well under way. We are kicking it in to high gear this year hoping to reach many more members of our community. At this time we at Sebring Aglow Community Lighthouse want to say Thank you again to all those who participated in any way to help make the 2012 Back to School Bash a success. We also want to welcome you back this year, along with all the new coming participants for 2013. 2012 was the biggest year for the Back to School Bash yet. There were many contributors who came through with just what we needed. Because of each unique helping hand we were able to serve over 400 people in our area. Children grades K-5 were provided backpacks and school supplies, free haircuts were provided by, GUTI The Premier Beauty & Wellness Academy, in Sebring. A local Chiropractor was in the house to discuss the importance of a healthy back. McDonalds provided snacks and gifts for the children. Highlands County Sherriff’s Officers were there with one of their cruisers, and stickers, offering wise advice concerning children’s safety. A nutritionist provided information on healthy cooking and eating. Robert Ruiz rocked the place with Christian Rap to be enjoyed by all. The Sebring YMCA helped greatly, by providing shelter and entertainment for the children. The fire station brought in one of their fire engines for the children to see, and even have a seat in. Youth for Christ provided lunch for the people. Taylor rental brought in a big slide for even more fun. There were free snow cones, free popcorn, gifts for the games, raffles, and other refreshments for all to enjoy. First we Thank God for His help in coordinating and bringing the Bash together; then on to 2012’s generous list of donors that you will find listed on the next page of this letter, along with information on how you can join in. Will you be returning as a benefactor this year, or joining us for the first time? Will you be helping to make The 2013 4th Annual Back to School Bash bigger and better, reaching even more families here in Highlands County this, August 17, 2013? If so, your contribution will not only be greatly appreciated but is also tax deductible. Any and all donations will assist in providing school supplies for grades K-5, food, and entertainment for the children in our community. We strive to not only help them, but also to create a fun and exciting atmosphere to uplift them physically, mentally, and spiritually.
