Dear California friends! Does anyone know why the police arrested these Venice Beach street performers? Im sure theres some lovely cops in LA. Respect to all the hard working police officers who have integrity and intelligence. I used to street perform Venice and in Santa Monica and unfortunately the type of police behavior that is shown in this video is something that Ive only seen first hand in those areas. I have performed all around the world. One of our FB friends was once attacked violently by police in this area and he is a peaceful vegan musician, who illegally left his gear on the street while he used the toilet. And I once received a ticket for playing at a decibel level that is louder then a Who Concert. When my audience protested that there was an obvious error with the decibel meter, back up police were called in to put down my audience. They treated my peaceful audience like they were making a riot! In all truth, I was performing Little Wing and we were all having a real peaceful intimate moment... I had to act fast and ask to audience to respect the police in order to avoid escalation, but anyone with a brain could easily tell that I was playing quietly. Again, I respect the hard working police who use intelligence and integrity, AND PROTECT THE PEACE
