I & C Engineer Knowledge Skills and Experience: Engineering Degree in Instrumentation or Control. 10 years of engineering experience in Instrumentation & Control associated with large oil and gas or petrochemical industry. Should have handled instrumentation & control system engineering activities associated with brown field & or grass root plants, plant upgrades & modifications and de bottle necking from inception to commissioning. Should have good exposure to oil and gas industry instrument detail engineering, FEED and exposure with Distributed Control & simplex/redundant PLC systems. Should have very good knowledge of ISA and instrumentation related international standards of ISO, API, AGA, IEC, NFPA, NEC, NEMA etc and industry best practices. Experience should include reviewing and approving process control design basis & functional design specification, system and device technical specifications, functional logic diagrams, documents such as FEED and work scope, instrumentation sizing calculations, procedures covering Testing & Inspection, participation in HAZOP & Design review, SIL classification and Factory & Site Acceptance Tests. Knowledge of INTOOLS would be added advantage. Certification as Certified Functional Safety Engineer (FSE) would be added advantage. Exposure to latest trends such as Industrial Ethernet, Field Bus, system integration techniques such as modbus & OPC, serial interfaces such as HART and Asset Management concepts would be preferable.
