Dear Church Family, Thank you for your continued prayer for Cameron and Kelsy Stevens. It has been a great honor to see the work that God is doing in the midst of this tragedy. It truly has been marvelous seeing all of Gods people (from several different churches) come together in prayer for this family. Prayer is rising up to the Lord like a sweet-smelling aroma literally all over the world. Regardless as to how this turns out, God is being glorified and for that I know Cameron would be greatly honored. Here is the latest news. As of today, Thursday, at 10 am, he was showing signs of exhaustion because he has been breathing on his own for more than 24 hours without waking fully. He has been put back on the ventilator (breathing machine) and back under sedation for another 24 hours. There is no need to visit today because he will be sedated until tomorrow morning at 10 am. At that time, the doctors will stop the sedating medicine and allow time for it to diminish from his system. After about 4 hours, they will attempt to stop the ventilator and allow him to breathe on his own again. They will then also reattempt to wake him to full consciousness. If successful, the breathing tube may be removed. At the hospital, quiet time is designated between 3 and 4 pm each day so please try to avoid coming during that hour. Also, there is no need really to visit until tomorrow afternoon as he will certainly not be waking until the medicine wears off and probably even later than that. The church and the family appreciates all of your prayers and company. Many have brought food, snack and beverages and they are appreciated as well. Please continue to pray because Cameron is not out of the woods yet.
