Dear Church, How awesome it is to be a God called and chosen - TopicsExpress

Dear Church, How awesome it is to be a God called and chosen person. Our response to live for him is called faith in Jesus and all of his ways. Like we talked about before we have 3 enemies that are in contestant pursuit or our faith… the devil, the world and our carnal or fleshly nature. We can gain so much in our fight against these three as we consider Old Testament Characters. Like yesterday we will again look at king Saul. The Following scripture is the message from God that Samuel took to Saul after he carried out a 95% or better response to what God had asked him to do…. 1 Samuel 15:22-23 (KJV) 22 And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams. 23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king. Saul’s 5% failure, in the eyes of the Lord was 100%. He is now in 100% rebellion and 100% stubbornness! Jesus wants all of us…. 100%. The goal of any of these 3 enemies is to remove at least a 1% portion of faith (obedience) to Jesus and his ways. HomeLand Security has a 5 color-coded terrorism threat advisory scale… green (low), blue (guarded), yellow (elevated), orange (high), red (severe). HomeLand security may place a green alert on a 1% removal of our faith in Jesus but as a Spirit Filled Christian we must live with a RED—SEVERE, SEVERE, alert! Here is the good news 1 Corinthians 10:13 (KJV) 13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. Praise God!! Have a 100% day of faith in Jesus, Pastor Greg
