Dear Church! Please stop calling gifted people annointed. Some people are both but the two arent mutually exclusive. Gifted people win Stellars, Grammys, etc only. Annointed people heal the sick, get martyred and prophesy accurately for free! Now, some annointed people have one awards but not many. In fact anointing has nothing to do with gifts. It has everything to do with Character, heart for God and the dreaded words a holy lifestyle! Jesus and David both were annointed before (peep this) we knew they were gifted. Anointing is for the purposes of enabling one to fulfill the calling and will of God. Gifts and even the calling itself (not its fulfillment) associated with it have nothing to do with ones life or lifestyle. God hands out gifts freely but anointing is costly and most of us dont have it, because most of us cant handle it. God annoints those like Him, willing to live for him no matter the cost. Sad to say many of us church folk like Jesse wouldnt recognize annointing if it was dropped on someone in our own living room like it was on David. Dont be fooled the anointing of God has nothing to do with gifts but everything to do with God. So next time you see a gospel anything please consult the Lord before labeling them or it something God hasnt.
